Great product and excellent service!

I would like to thank the Packers Pro Shop for my recent order and how the entire transaction was handled. On 4/25/13 I was about to place an order for an Elite Custom Home Jersey (#92, Reggie White) but was slightly concerned about sizing. I had never purchased an NFL jersey before and was afraid if I ordered the wrong size I be stuck for $275.
I called the PPS and discussed my concerns with the woman that answered the phone. She told me she would check into it and call me right back. This woman (I missed hearing her name) not only called right back, but in order to help me she enlisted the aid of someone shopping in the store that was roughly my size and asked him to try on two different size jerseys- which he kindly did- and asked his advice on which fit better. I took his (and her) advice and the jersey fits perfectly!
How many retailers (and fellow shoppers) would do something like this? Not many. And this is the reason I will continue to purchase my Packers gear from the Packers Pro Shop, rather than other retailers such as NFL.com or Amazon. Excellent service such as this is hard to come by these days. In addition, as I placed my order on 4/25/13 I did not expect to receive my jersey until 5/25/13 or thereabouts (due to the one month expected delivery time outlined on the website for custom orders). I received my jersey a full 11 days early (5/14/13)! And this includes the 54 hours my jersey sat in the UPS building in Addison, Illinois (but what do you expect from Bears fans, ha ha?)!
I have ordered from your site a number of times, and have actually called your store twice- each time with excellent results. The first time (I forget what I was ordering) I spoke with a saleswoman for a good ten minutes about the Packers themselves. I found the woman I spoke with to be incredibly knowledgeable about the team, which was awesome. Service such as yours is rarely found these days, especially with the advent of internet shopping and "super-stores". It is certainly refreshing to know such service still exists in America. Again, I thank you for an outstanding job. In addition to being the greatest franchise in the NFL, the Packers have the greatest retail store as well!

Reebok Jerseys Were Better

If you're buying a new Nike Elite jersey, buy one a size bigger than your Reebok jersey. The Nike jersey is made from nike compression (under armour) material and is a snug fit. Also, these jerseys are not as nice as the reebok authentic on field jerseys. The color is dull and the stitching is not as nice. The elastic arm cuffs don't have any elasticity in them and don't fit nicely around your arm. I would pass on purchasing an Elite jersey and go for a "Game" jersey.

NOT as nice as the old ones!

In my opinion, the new "Nike" "elite" jerseys aren't nearly as nice as the former, "Reebok" "authentic" game jerseys. In 2010-11, I bought two Reebok authentic jerseys, a Rogers (12) and a Matthews (52), and I was very pleased with the quality. This year I bought a Nike "elite" Randall Cobb (18) jersey, and I was disappointed. The fabric is not as nice, the detailing is not as nice, and (most importantly) the name block on the back is much smaller than the real deal.
Unfortunately, the Nike jerseys are the only game in town since the NFL switched official licensee from Reebok to Nike . . . so we're stuck :-( The NFL and Nike have an absolute monopoly on the available products.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Nike jerseys are still quite nice, but if you're looking for a player that was on the roster before the change in NFL licensees, I would seriously consider shopping e-bay for the Reebok version. |
