| The PPS has appropriately dubbed this a "top," though it hardly meets the expectations of its category "Sweatshirts/Fleece." I don't blame PPS b/c this "top" defies categorization. With its almost-ribbed, sort of heathered look, and its quasi-Rayon sort of texture, it could certainly fit the bill for "Casual Friday" at many job sites. It'd be just as normal, though, to wear it with a pair of sweats and never leave the couch on game day. It's unique in look and feel, then, and the appliqué patch suggests durability wash after wash. Just don't dry it. At 6'2", 265, I ordered the biggest size (XXL); and this is the threshold for what I'd wear in public without feeling self-conscious. At 100% cotton (even though it doesn't feel like it), I will never dry it for fear it would shrink considerably. If you like low-maintenance (and want to dry all your stuff), order the next size up from what you typically wear. Finally, if you want something to keep you even moderately warm in winter, look elsewhere. This is nothing like any "sweatshirt" or "fleece" I've ever had (and I spend FAR TOO MUCH money at PPS!). Overall, very cool look; bizarre yet pleasing (?) feel; annoying maintenance (if you can't order a size up). I'd rate this higher if not for that last descriptor. Oh, I purchased this at a lowered (clearance?) price, which I'm not supposed to quantify, so . . . . If you pay more for this item than you would pay for two oil changes with coupons, you might be disappointed. Hope this review helps you! |
