| If I were judging on looks alone, I'd rate this distressed Nike hoody a 4 or 5; if I did the same for its fit, it would be a 1 or 0 (if that were possible). The faded green and old school style felt-DIY-iron-on lettering scream 1970s retro, which is cool. If I were keeping this item, I'd worry about the letters peeling off (just like they did back in the day). But the sizing is off by one, at least: At 6'2", 265, I'm not exactly a monster at the gym. This new line from Nike is part of a growing textile trend, something I call the "metrosexual fit." The XXL I ordered feels like a snug XL. So bummed it doesn't come in a 3XL (another trend of the metrosexual line). No offense intended to Dale S.--or anyone else who can rock this new Abercrombie model merchandise--b/c I certainly wish I could. Just a fair warning if you are of a smaller stature than I: whatever size you normally wear, get the next size up! |
